Oops, you died. The good news is you are essentially immortal.

At times, a mob may hit you such that you have negative hp, and are 'too stunned' to do anything, just sitting there incapacitated.

There's a bunch, and they each have minor advantages I will list below, but honestly if you are new don't bother with that shit yet, it's splitting hairs and not going to make a huge difference to your first characters (and you can change later). You just want the easiest deities to supplicate your corpse with, which are:

The deity system allows you to use your deity to bring you a few things, via the 'supplicate' command:

          recall  sends you to your recall point (bypasses norecall flags)

Then you can go and explore and die whenever, when you do, just use 'supplicate corpse' and get all your shit back. Then go re-favor again back to praised.
