Favor

  • Gain Favor: Visit. Bury Corpses. "Help Others"
  • Lose Favor: Visit Vl'aresh. Dig up Corpses. Backstab/Circle. Flee.

Walk to A'enari and in/out of her room until at Praised.

You can automate this based on the room name, and the MSDP data FAVOR var:

#ACTION {Visions of sublime benevolence collide in an arc of rapture.}{
                #IF {"$msdp_info[FAVOR]" != "{praised|honored|cherished|loved}"} {e;w};
                #ELSE {finditem recall;recite recall};
        }

Renouncing

If you want to renounce from A'enari, the quickest way I've found is to die, supplicate your corpse, visit Vl'aresch until that stops working, then take another char with you and go kill something/anything and have your secondary char bury the corpse and you dig it up, set up a trigger for that and let it roll for like 15 minutes.

Upon renouncing, she will tran's you to a few different locations, one of which is the Madness maze in KoTR - specifically inside a room there which has no exits. The exits to that room spawn when a player enters it, and this transport doesn't trigger that, so you're kind of fucked. The easy way out is to config -nice and then 'kick self' until you suicide. Otherwise, you have to use a second char to go to KoTR and into the Madness maze and walk into that room so the exits open up, then navigate the maze to the recall room. Huge bitch.

Location & Naos

A'enari has 2 paths leading to her, and 1 path to exit from her back to the realms.

Destination Connecting Area Directions
A'enari Pixie Forest #8 e;ne;ne;ne;#3 e;ne;e;ne;#2 e;#5 n;sw;nw;w;#4 n;enter;ne;w
A'enari King's Castle #8 e;se;se;s;se;se;se;se;ne;ne;e;ne;ne;e;#2 s;sw;s;se;s;se;#2 e;ne;ne;e;open nw;nw;w;ne;w
Naos #1 Emerald Hills #6 s;ne;#2 s;se;#2 e;s;#2 sw;s;#5 sw;nw;n;ne;nw;#2 n;ne;n;e;#3 ne;#5 e;ne;e;n;ne;
Naos #2 Town of Solace nw;#2 w;#4 n;e;look painting;open n;n;nw;#2 n;nw;w;nw;nw;#3 w;#2 nw;#2 sw;w;sw;w;nw;#2 n;nw;ne;#4 n;#4 e;n

Exit: From A'enari it is just a few steps away to exit into Elemental Canyon:

e;sw;s;open w;w

(I haven't figured out the keyword to get IN to her from Elemental Canyon yet, but it would be essentially:

#8 w;sw;s;#2 sw;s;w;se;s;se;#3 s;d;sw;#4 s;e;#2 u;e;u;nw;d; (then you would "open (east keyword)" to get to her)

Notes:

  • The Pixie Forest path is the preferred (shortest/safest) route.
  • The King's Castle route may encounter some little aggro mobs along the way.
  • The exit to Elemental Canyon makes for a nice shortcut to the Southern Mountains region.
    • For example, its shorter to run to Pixie Forest, enter the A'enari section, and exit into EC than walking straight to EC.

Naos Notes

  • Emerald Hills Naos: Father Drevlen is here, along with an altar that is a container.
  • Town of Solace Naos: Juvdal is here, along with a similar altar.

Both locations show the exact same progs:

Undevoted Char:

(this was on a devout char (ranger))
You say 'guidance'
Father Drevlen smiles at you.
Father Drevlen says 'The Goddess would be a wise choice for you Raleus.'

Devoted Char:

You say 'guidance'
Father Drevlen smiles at you.
Father Drevlen says 'You have already chosen the path you will walk, Kilgane.'

Vl'aresch Devoted Char: Got all the same progs as an A'enari devoted char: "You have already chosen the path you will walk..."

Altar: There is an altar at both Naos, which is a functional container you can put stuff in and take stuff out of.

You put a recall scroll in the altar of charity.
Father Drevlen smiles at you.
Father Drevlen says 'Thank you, Raleus. May the Goddess bless you.'
Father Drevlen utters the words, 'fido'.
A powerful blessing is laid upon you.

You can take items back out again with no prog response.

Oddly, on the undevoted char, depositing a heal potion did nothing but a recall scroll got him to cast bless on me. With both the A'enari and Vl'aresch chars, the opposite behavior was observed - depositing a scroll didn't get the bless, but depositing a heal potion did. Tested this several times, at both naos, always the same behavior. Need to test more objects?

Priests:

You can fight Drevlan/Juvdal, but they get healed to full by A'enari every round.

Priest

The Divini Priest

Help File: DIVINI

Of note: There can be multiple instances of The Divini Priest in the game simultaneously. I've seen two in existence on multiple occasions. Speaking to Immortals about this, they seem to think it is 'working as expected' and not a bug.

Short Desc:

A priest in white robes spreads the word of his faith.
The Divini priest glows with an aura of divine radiance.

Long Desc:

If it were not for his stately attire, the priest would fade into a crowd
and never be noticed. He has unremarkable features and is of average height
and weight for a human. He is Divini and the reputation of the fanatical
followers of A'enari lends him a power and aura that he could not muster on
his own. The white robe he wears is the trademark of all Divini; pure white
with a likeness of the Serpent and Rainbow on the back. The robe is easily
spotted in a crowd and many a worshiper of the darker powers has made a
hasty retreat upon seeing its flashing brilliance; the Divini priests are
notoriously intolerant of any form of evil, perceived or not.

The Divini priest is in perfect health.

The Divini priest is using:
<worn around neck> Talisman of the Goddess
<worn on body> serpentine chainmail
<worn on legs> white, chainmail leggings
<worn on feet> dust-covered, white boots
<worn about body> White robes of the Divini
<worn about waist> Sash of the Divini
<held> (Glowing) a gnarled walking stick

Progs toward A'enari devoted chars:

You say 'divini'
The Divini priest turns his piercing gaze to you.
The Divini priest wonders 'Yes?'
You say 'naos'
The Divini priest says 'So soon you forget that which you should know, Kilgane.'
You say 'A'enari' (or 'Goddess')
The Divini priest says 'There is but one Goddess of this realm Dyr, and that is A'enari.'

Will heal you if you are devout and it enters your room, or whenever it moves.

The Divini priest utters the words, 'pzar'.
A warm feeling fills your body.
The Divini priest nods in greeting towards you.

Progs to an Undevoted Char

(same for "divini" and "a'earni" as above)

You say 'naos'
The Divini priest says 'You have but a short distance to travel to it now, Raleus.'
The Divini priest says 'You will have to find its location on your own.'

(this took place in the town of solace, where one of A'enari's Naos exists)

Room Entry Prog:

The Divini priest says 'Seek the light of the Goddess Raleus. Seek our Naos for worship.'
The Divini priest utters the words, 'pzar'.
A warm feeling fills your body.
The Divini priest says 'Pledge yourself to the True Goddess A'enari, Raleus.'

Aggro towards Evil players, and/or players devoted to Vl'aresch.

Sends Evil Lowbies back to Harakiem in DH:

<Lowbie> flies in from the northwest.
The Divini priest slowly turns to face <Lowbie>.
Clutching the talisman at his throat The Divini priest shouts..
The Divini priest exclaims 'I grant you forgiveness, in the name of the Goddess!'
The Divini priest exclaims 'Get out of my sight!'
A whirlwind of air rushes through the room!

Dyr's Hot Take

A'enari is basically the default deity for devout characters, great for people who just want a functional deity to supplicate their corpse and quickly refavor.

She's the Marlboro Light of deities, smooth experience and easy to get addicted to.
