Notes:

  • To reach Kalerd
    • Scan/Scry in the 'Great Eastern Desert' to find "The wind-swept ledge" and move there.
    • Some days this seems easier/harder than others
    • If you want to walk back out, when you hit a dead end the exit keyword is 'leave' to get back through the crevice to the wind-swept ledge.
  • The Azure Sea Naos
    • This is very close to Coral Depths, easy/safe to get to. This should be your the primary devotion site for Kalerd.

Priest

Kalerd - The Priest of Summer

Room Desc:

The summer sun seems to hover about this priest as he travels.
Priest of Summer is shrouded in flowing shadow and light.

Long Desc:

The priest is covered in a bright yellow robe and a cloak the color of a
beautiful sunrise. The brightness of his clothing speaks loudly of who he
devotes his time to furthering in the echelon.

Priest of Summer is in perfect health.

Priest of Summer is using:
<used as light> EverSummer
<worn on body> robe of sunrise
<worn on feet> sandles
<worn about body> the cloak of sunlight
<wielded> (Glowing) staff of heat-lightning
Priest of summer appears to be between level 50 and 55.
Priest of summer looks like a Gith, and follows the ways of the cleric.

Progs to All characters:

Room Entry:

Priest of Summer utters the words, 'qaihfar xzahpzf'. (Control Weather).
(I presume he's walking around trying to make it warmer)

Progs to UnDevoted Chars:

Room Entry:

Priest of Summer says 'Come with us, PLAYER. Seek out the power of all light in our Naos.'

You say 'naos'

Priest of Summer says 'You will find it near the great divide, Player.'
Priest of Summer says 'You will have to find its location on your own power, Player.'
Priest of Summer bows before you.

(I believe this refers to the Azure Sea Naos (along the coast near Coral Depths), because the other one is just buried in Kontaur and I can't see any way that relates to 'a great divide'. For the one near Coral Depths, the 'great divide' then means the division between land and sea. So basically he's saying.... "near where the land meets the sea", a beach, and that location makes sense.)

Typical EQ Wear Prog:

Priest of Summer holds EverSummer as a light.
Priest of Summer wears the cloak of sunlight about his body.
Priest of Summer wields staff of heat-lightning.
Priest of Summer fits robe of sunrise on his body.
Priest of Summer wears sandles on his feet.

Progs to Kalerd Devoted Chars:

Room Entry:

Priest of Summer smiles at you.

You say 'naos'

Priest of Summer frowns at what you did.

Progs to Non-Kalerd Devoted Chars: None Found

Dyr's Hot Take

Favoring the old fashioned way sucks. Aff fly at loved is cool and would be useful. (need to test to find the other benefits).

I run into his Priest all the time, seems well built out, but still seemingly good for nothing, which is frustrating.
