==Priests==
Nobody seems to know wtf these things are for. Some say they are part of an unfinished idea. Who knows. I'm just documenting what I can.

Each Deity has priests which wander around the realms. The purpose of these mobs is, to my knowledge, still unknown.
=Priests=

I started trying to just catalog them, and became interested in discovering what, if any, purpose they serve.
Each Deity appears to have some sort of roaming "Priest" (orrrr "Priestess") representing them out in the world.

*'''Facts:'''
*'''Facts:'''
**All of them have a help file (usually corresponds to mob keyword)
**All of them have some proper title of their group.
***I have had more luck finding the help files than finding the mobs.
***Each group has a help file
**All of them respond to the keyword 'priest' and the very odd keyword 'anp' in addition to their unique keywords listed below.
**All of them respond to the keyword 'priest' and the very odd keyword 'anp' in addition to their unique keywords listed below.
**Most (All?) of them have speech progs that vary based on your deity.
**All of them have slightly different progs based on what deity you are devoted to (their god, another, or none)
**All of them can be killed, all of their eq always poofs upon kb.
**All of them can be killed, all of their eq always poofs upon kb.

I haven't found them all yet, send me intel if you want. (also try saying 'naos' and other stuff to them!)
I haven't found them all yet, though I have found all the help files. Send me intel if you want.

Word on the street is that these are part of an unfinished story/quest/something, and that they currently serve no purpose. Classic. I think they're neat anyways, and enjoy documenting them.

'''Standard Progs:'''

All of them appear to have a similar set of progs:
*'''Room Entry:''' This refers to when the Priest enters YOUR room (and not vice versa). This will also trigger if you follow the priest and he moves.
*'''Say 'naos':''' Most will prog if you say 'naos' while on an UnDevoted char, or a char Devoted to the priest's deity.
**On an Undevoted char they will say something about seeking the naos, or hint at a naos location, recruiting you to their god basically.
**On a Devoted char, to their deity, they will usually say something like "you should already know"
**On a Devoted char, to some other deity, they typically do not respond to saying 'naos' at all.
*'''Equipping Gear:''' A lot of them have a prog/echo that shows them wearing additional gear. Corpses are always empty though.

(chirus remains unchanged)
A: He will immediately aggro you, and appears as "Brother Bobby" (Impersonating a priest of Bron'Trel (help brotherhood))

You say 'naos'
The God, Bron'trel says 'Ask and you shall receive Blenwood..just ask....'

However - at other times he went straight aggro against me, and in doing so became "Brother Bobby":

Brother Bobby exclaims 'You are a disgrace to the Brotherhood, Blenwood!'
Brother Bobby exclaims 'You are a disgrace to the Brotherhood, Blenwood!'
  You dodge Brother Bobby's attack.
  You dodge Brother Bobby's attack.

MSDP also sent his name as "Brother Bobby", however only the usual keywords for him worked to look at him, so it was definitely the same mob and not a new mob trans'd in.
B: You can then change his appearance by saing 'naos' or 'bron'trel' to make him appear as "The true Chirus" or "The God, Bron'trel"

It also seems to have caught a small bug where after flee'ing and scry'ing back into the room it was showing him as mimicing my player name, but ALSO had a line still showing Brother Bobby (fake sanc?). This state didn't last long, and shortly after the fake sanc line went away. When I re-entered the room, he again became Brother Bobby and again attacked me.
You say 'naos'
PLAYER  is hovering here.
The God, Bron'trel says 'Ask and you shall receive Blenwood..just ask....'
Brother Bobby is shrouded in flowing shadow and light.

Further experimentation shows you can change his appearance with the speech progs:
You say 'chirus'
The true Chirus gasps in astonishment.
The true Chirus exclaims 'Foul is this deed, indeed!'

Saying 'chirus' turns him into "The true Chirus".
In all cases (Bobby/Chirus/Bron'trel) MSDP sends the new name, but only typical keywords like 'anp' work to view/exam him, so its definitely still the same mob and not something new being trans'd in.
Saying 'naos' turns him into "The God, Bron'Trel".

I find it interesting that his name also changes in MSDP. Good job whoever coded this.
Killing him still yields nothing - regardless of his appearance at the time of death:

I have killed him on my Bron'trel character, while setting him to 'The true Chirus" and "Brother Bobby" for the kb:
  The true Chirus is DEAD!!
  The true Chirus is DEAD!!
The true Chirus cackles gleefully at you.  Better keep your distance from him.
The true Chirus cackles gleefully at you.  Better keep your distance from him.
  POOOOOOOOF!
  POOOOOOOOF!
You see no corpse here.

  Brother Bobby is DEAD!!                                                                                                │
  Brother Bobby is DEAD!!                                                                                                │

And in both cases found myself trans'd to Asgard Nexus maze:

POOOOOOOOF!
And in all cases he transports you over to Asgard Nexus maze:

  The Empyreal Wasteland

Nothing new or different in that maze. Will have to try kb'ing him as Bron'Trel as well but doubt there's any change.
Note that he transports you upon death, causing the 'You see no corpse here' message, but his corpse does exist on the floor where you kill him, though there will only be a few coins in it:

The corpse of (Brother Bobby|The true Chirus|The God, Bron'trel) fills the air with a foul stench.

The corpse of (Brother Bobby|The true Chirus|The God, Bron'trel) holds:
    5360 gold coins

For the one near Coral Depths, the 'great divide' then means the division between land and sea. So basically he's saying.... Latest revision as of 02:14, 28 June 2025

Nobody seems to know wtf these things are for. Some say they are part of an unfinished idea. Who knows. I'm just documenting what I can.

Priests

Each Deity appears to have some sort of roaming "Priest" (orrrr "Priestess") representing them out in the world.

  • Facts:
    • All of them have some proper title of their group.
      • Each group has a help file
    • All of them respond to the keyword 'priest' and the very odd keyword 'anp' in addition to their unique keywords listed below.
    • All of them have slightly different progs based on what deity you are devoted to (their god, another, or none)
    • All of them can be killed, all of their eq always poofs upon kb.

I haven't found them all yet, though I have found all the help files. Send me intel if you want.

Standard Progs:

All of them appear to have a similar set of progs:

  • Room Entry: This refers to when the Priest enters YOUR room (and not vice versa). This will also trigger if you follow the priest and he moves.
  • Say 'naos': Most will prog if you say 'naos' while on an UnDevoted char, or a char Devoted to the priest's deity.
    • On an Undevoted char they will say something about seeking the naos, or hint at a naos location, recruiting you to their god basically.
    • On a Devoted char, to their deity, they will usually say something like "you should already know"
    • On a Devoted char, to some other deity, they typically do not respond to saying 'naos' at all.
  • Equipping Gear: A lot of them have a prog/echo that shows them wearing additional gear. Corpses are always empty though.

Deity Priests

A'enari - The Divini Priest

Help File: DIVINI

Short Desc:

A priest in white robes spreads the word of his faith.
The Divini priest glows with an aura of divine radiance.

Long Desc:

If it were not for his stately attire, the priest would fade into a crowd
and never be noticed. He has unremarkable features and is of average height
and weight for a human. He is Divini and the reputation of the fanatical
followers of A'enari lends him a power and aura that he could not muster on
his own. The white robe he wears is the trademark of all Divini; pure white
with a likeness of the Serpent and Rainbow on the back. The robe is easily
spotted in a crowd and many a worshiper of the darker powers has made a
hasty retreat upon seeing its flashing brilliance; the Divini priests are
notoriously intolerant of any form of evil, perceived or not.

The Divini priest is in perfect health.

The Divini priest is using:
<worn around neck> Talisman of the Goddess
<worn on body> serpentine chainmail
<worn on legs> white, chainmail leggings
<worn on feet> dust-covered, white boots
<worn about body> White robes of the Divini
<worn about waist> Sash of the Divini
<held> (Glowing) a gnarled walking stick

Progs toward A'enari devoted chars:

You say 'divini'
The Divini priest turns his piercing gaze to you.
The Divini priest wonders 'Yes?'
You say 'naos'
The Divini priest says 'So soon you forget that which you should know, Kilgane.'
You say 'A'enari' (or 'Goddess')
The Divini priest says 'There is but one Goddess of this realm Dyr, and that is A'enari.'

Will heal you if you are devout and it enters your room, or whenever it moves.

The Divini priest utters the words, 'pzar'.
A warm feeling fills your body.
The Divini priest nods in greeting towards you.

Progs to an Undevoted Char

(same for "divini" and "a'earni" as above)

You say 'naos'
The Divini priest says 'You have but a short distance to travel to it now, Raleus.'
The Divini priest says 'You will have to find its location on your own.'

(this took place in the town of solace, where one of A'enari's Naos exists)

Room Entry Prog:

The Divini priest says 'Seek the light of the Goddess Raleus. Seek our Naos for worship.'
The Divini priest utters the words, 'pzar'.
A warm feeling fills your body.
The Divini priest says 'Pledge yourself to the True Goddess A'enari, Raleus.'

Aggro towards Evil players, and/or? players devoted to Vl'aresch.

Sends Evil Lowbies back to Harakiem in DH:

<Lowbie> flies in from the northwest.
The Divini priest slowly turns to face <Lowbie>.
Clutching the talisman at his throat The Divini priest shouts..
The Divini priest exclaims 'I grant you forgiveness, in the name of the Goddess!'
The Divini priest exclaims 'Get out of my sight!'
A whirlwind of air rushes through the room!

Vl'aresch - The Moze Priest

Help File: MOZE 'THE MOZE'

Dressed all in black, this man exudes a foreboding aura. Gazing into his
unfocused, bloodshot eyes sends shivers down your spine. For though he
appears a normal traveler on the outside, something is missing on the
inside. The tattoo along the right side of his neck marks him as Moze and
the crude blackened flames of the tattoo do little to ease your sense of
disquiet at his close proximity.

The Moze priest is in perfect health.

The Moze priest is using:
<worn around neck> necklace of blackened fangs
<worn on body> diced black leather
<worn on legs> faded black leggings
<worn on feet> ragged black boots
<worn about body> a ripped, black cloak
<held> (Glowing) a small cudgel
<worn over face> a tattoo of black flames
The moze priest appears to be between level 50 and 55.
The moze priest looks like a Human, and follows the ways of the savage.

Like all priests, he typically starts with less gear, then is seen equiping more to the point shown above.

Progs to Undevoted Characters:

Room Entry:

The Moze priest whispers to you 'Wait no longer, find the Naos of Evil.'
Brrrrrrrrr.

You say 'naos'

The Moze priest whispers to you 'Yesss, it is near...'
The Moze priest wonders 'You expect me to help you, Darci?'

Progs to Vl'aresch Devoted characters:

You say 'naos'

The Moze priest smirks.

Progs to Other Devoted characters:

Nothing new

Bron'trel - Brother Lopyn

Help File: BROTHERHOOD 'THE BROTHERHOOD'

Short Desc:

Ageless wisdom shines from the eyes of this stooped figure.
Brother Lopyn is shrouded in flowing shadow and light.

Long Desc:

The priest is old, perhaps close to his time of retirement. His face is
creased with wrinkles and his posture is stooped from countless years
wandering the realms. He is a priest of the Brotherhood, the stoic group
of priests that serve Bron'trel. In his younger days, he spent his time
scouring the realms for the elusive and wily minions of chaos. Now that
it pains him to move about, he stays closer to the larger cities and the
warm inns where he can council the devoted and provide his vast knowledge
to the Prophets.

Brother Lopyn is using:
<used as light> Objectivity
<worn on feet> tan moccasins
<worn about body> a purple and tan robe
<held> (Glowing) a gnarled sceptre

The 'help brotherhood' file also outlines how the brotherhood opposes the Harum-scarum (LaChte Priests):

The Brotherhood is probably the only group of priests that can discern
the real from the not, when it comes to the God of Chaos' minions.
Given the gift of 'seeing' by Bron'trel, the wily minions of chaos
appear in their true forms to the Brotherhood. The shapeshifters are
well aware of this and many times will vanish into ethereal clouds at
the approach of a priest of Bron'trel. The Brotherhood has also been
known to come to the aid of the faithful against these shapeshifters,
though how they learn of their need in any given situation, is not
exactly known. Only the priests know how.

Progs for UnDevoted Chars:

(Upon room entry)
Brother Lopyn says 'You should seek out the Naos of the one true power in this world, PLAYER.'
Brother Lopyn says 'Consider your devotion to a god carefully, PLAYER. Do so quickly.'
You say 'naos'
Brother Lopyn says 'You will find it here on the Plain PLAYER.'
Brother Lopyn says 'I can not lead you there, I am too old for adventures.'

Progs for Bron'Trel devoted chars:

(Upon room entry)
Brother Lopyn says 'Greetings Brother PLAYER.'
(At full Loved favor)
You say 'naos'
Brother Lopyn frowns.
Brother Lopyn says 'That is something you should already know, PLAYER.'

Progs for LaChte devoted chars:

(Upon room entry)
Brother Lopyn says 'Seek your shelter elsewhere PLAYER, your presence is unwelcome.'
Brother Lopyn takes a swat at you with his sceptre.
Brother Lopyn frowns at what you did.
You say 'naos'
Brother Lopyn scowls angrily at you.
Brother Lopyn says 'Begone from me.'

LaChte - The Harum-Scarum

See: help harum-scarum (also available at 'help entity')

Keywords: priest, chirus, anp (also 'harum' works for exam/look, but not 'where')

  • These are mimics. They will appear in room as a copy of a mob, another player, or yourself.
  • When mimic'ing yourself or another player, you can discern the mimic via several means:
    • They will NOT have prefixes like (Invis)(Hide)(Sneak) in front of their name.
    • They will NOT have shields listed after their name (if you are config -shields and would see [Sanc] after player description
    • They will have an extraneous space after their name and before their title.
  • When mimic'ing another mob, its harder to spot them:
    • You will not be able to look/exam the mob's name
    • You must exam/look one of the keywords above.

It seems this is either a form of LaChte himself, or his Priest named "The True Chirus" or "The Answer" from the below.

Room Desc: Here he is mimic'ing my character Blenwood, as viewed from a third character.

The top line is my character, the bottom is the mimic, as denoted by the lack of the [Sanc] and extraneous space after the name:

Blenwood is hovering here. [Sanc]
Blenwood is hovering here.

If he is mimic'ing another mob, he's harder to spot and will look exactly like a regular mob.

Long Desc: Regardless of what he appears as in the room, you can only use his keywords to exam/look at him:

exam chirus
There is something odd about the look of this one....

FAKE is in perfect health. (Where the FAKE will be whoever he is mimicing at the time)

Eventually - if there are no other things for him to mimic, his descriptions will start to show up as "The Answer":

There is something odd about the look of this one....

The Answer is in perfect health.
The Answer floats east.
You follow The Answer.

Eventually, once another mob is present, he'll switch to mimic'ing that, and you won't see him as "The Answer" any more. This lines up with some descriptions found in 'help harum-scarum' that outline they have trouble maintaining their shapeshifting form for long and will eventually revert to their true form.

Speech Progs He always does this one, no matter who you are devoted to:

You say 'chirus'
The true Chirus gasps in astonishment.
The true Chirus exclaims 'Foul is this deed, indeed!'

Progs on non-LaChte/non-Bron'Trel devoted characters:

This was on an A'enari char:

You say 'naos'
The Answer says 'lies within yourself PLAYER! Look and you shall find it....'
The Answer throws back his head and cackles with insane glee!

Progs on a LaChte devoted char:

He shows up as "The Dark God, LaChte" to LaChte devoted chars:

(Upon room entry)
The Dark God, LaChte grins evilly at you. Hmmm. Better keep your distance.
You say 'naos'
The Dark God, LaChte says 'I care not for your visit Daleus.'
The Dark God, LaChte floats south.

(Pretty sure the mimic is mimic'ing LaChte just to fuck with you)

Progs on a Bron'Trel devoted char:

A: He will immediately aggro you, and appears as "Brother Bobby" (Impersonating a priest of Bron'Trel (help brotherhood))

Brother Bobby exclaims 'You are a disgrace to the Brotherhood, Blenwood!'
You dodge Brother Bobby's attack.

B: You can then change his appearance by saing 'naos' or 'bron'trel' to make him appear as "The true Chirus" or "The God, Bron'trel"

You say 'naos'
The God, Bron'trel says 'Ask and you shall receive Blenwood..just ask....'
You say 'chirus'
The true Chirus gasps in astonishment.
The true Chirus exclaims 'Foul is this deed, indeed!'

In all cases (Bobby/Chirus/Bron'trel) MSDP sends the new name, but only typical keywords like 'anp' work to view/exam him, so its definitely still the same mob and not something new being trans'd in.

Killing him still yields nothing - regardless of his appearance at the time of death:

The true Chirus is DEAD!!
The true Chirus cackles gleefully at you. Better keep your distance from him.
POOOOOOOOF!
Brother Bobby is DEAD!! │
Brother Bobby cackles gleefully at you. Better keep your distance from him. │
POOOOOOOOF!
The God, Bron'trel is DEAD!!
The God, Bron'trel cackles gleefully at you. Better keep your distance from him.
POOOOOOOOF!

And in all cases he transports you over to Asgard Nexus maze:

The Empyreal Wasteland

Note that he transports you upon death, causing the 'You see no corpse here' message, but his corpse does exist on the floor where you kill him, though there will only be a few coins in it:

The corpse of (Brother Bobby|The true Chirus|The God, Bron'trel) fills the air with a foul stench.
The corpse of (Brother Bobby|The true Chirus|The God, Bron'trel) holds:
    5360 gold coins

Question: wtf is a "chirus"? The word doesn't come up in google, etc. Is it a homebrewed conjugation of Chimera, Chi-rus? no clue.

Z'hyal - The Listra

See: help listra

Gre'Vos - The Moondog

The creature's coat shines with streaks of silver in the moonlight. A square
and brutish looking animal, the creature looks capable of defending itself
quite well. It has piercing yellow eyes that almost appear to shine of their
own accord, making the animal easy to spot in the darkness. Its muzzle is
blunt and square, housing rows of sharp teeth. It frequently tests the wind,
no doubt searching for the nemesis of its goddess on the night air.

Believed to spawn in the Graveyard.

Mak'kor - Diabolist

Bael - Death's Black Cloak

Help File: 'BLACK CLOAKS' 'THE BLACK CLOAKS'

Little can be made out about this being, it is a mere shadow shaped vaguely
like a human. And though you can look at it with your eyes, it is not seen.
For all its lack of detail, it is one creature few will forget meeting.
Death's black cloak appears to be between level 50 and 55.
Death's black cloak looks like an undead, and follows the ways of the vampire.

Progs for Undevoted or Non-Bael Devoted Chars:

No progs found, but will attack you if you remain in their room for too long (several minutes)

Progs for Bael Devoted Chars:

TO DO

Sarane - Matrons

Wirawyth - The Dragoon

(Hide) There is something suspicious about the way this man lingers about.
The man is dressed in battle gear that speaks of his frequent combative encounters. He looks well prepared to handle even the largest of foes. There are many such adventurers in the realm, so the sight of him is not unusual. What sets him apart from all the other wanderers of the world, is the way he watches everything about him, as if weighing its worth. The slightly shifty gaze and the way his stare seems to slide away from yours when you look at him suggests he's looking for more than a friendly greeting. As he turns his head away, a black tattoo of a star below his right ear catches your eye. The tattoo is so small it could almost pass for a blemish or a smudge of dirt, but it is definitely a star tattoo.

Progs:

Typical 'wearing eq' prog, but it actually looks like other in-game eq in this instance:

A man fits a shadowy, coiled cobra around his left wrist.
A man fits a shadowy, coiled cobra around his right wrist.
A man slips his left finger into Set's ring of power.
A man slips his right finger into Set's ring of power.
A man wears collar of abyssal servitude around his neck.
A man thinks, 'Hmmmm.'

A man wears demonic whispers on his ears.
A man slings Cache of the Brigand on his back.
A man holds Mediocrity as a light.
A man looks at you.

Estathius - The Brume

Kardis - The Revisionist (Priest of Sorrow)

Help File: REVISIONIST REVISIONISTS 'THE REVISIONISTS'

The man is thin as a rail and not a single trace of emotion seems to have
ever crossed his face. He wears a cloak of deepest black without so much as
a single speck of dust to be seen on it. One of the Revisionists, this dour
priest's presence can only bode ill for any who come into contact with him.

A priest of Sorrow is in perfect health.

A priest of Sorrow is using:
<used as light> Strife
<worn about body> the black cloak of Sorrow
<wielded> (Glowing) A short sword named 'Sorrow'

Progs toward Undevoted or Non-Kardis devoted characters:

Room Entry: He repeatedly casts this "sinners curse" on you.

[sinners cur;-004 LCK  ; 1185 rds]
[sinners cur;-004 STR  ; 1185 rds]
[sinners cur;-004 DEX  ; 1185 rds]

This spell is non-dispel'able. You must let it expire naturally, or suicide to get rid of it. Dispel amulet, potions, etc, will not remove it.

Progs toward Kardis devoted characters: (To Do)

Adendra - The Sul'Gali

Help File: SUL'GALI 'THE SUL'GALI'

He heals a lot if you try to kill him solo. A barb army can drop him easy peazy though. Immune to magic weapons.

Room Desc:

A ghostly image creases the air as it moves past you.

Long Desc:

A distinct oily shell clings to this being. Light glistens off of the outer
coating and slides erratically within the shell. It looks to be mostly human
with perhaps some elven heritage, but it is hard to say. The being wears a
cloak of black, along with black leggings and plate armor. The only bit of
color seems to stem from the outer shell and a single strand of red pearls
about his throat. An aura of power surrounds this being and it is difficult
to tell if it is a benevolent creature or not. Could this be one of the
notorious priests of Faith that cause the prophets such misgivings?

The Sul'gali priest is in perfect health.

The Sul'gali priest is using:
<worn around neck> a string of blood-red pearls
<worn on body> glistening black plate mail
<worn on legs> black leather leggings
<worn about body> a translucent shell

Progs to an Undevoted Char:

Room Entry:

The Sul'gali priest says 'Speak with me...Raleus...'
You say 'sul'gali'
The Sul'gali priest wonders 'Yes?'

Adendra limits what race/class can devote to her, so this priest progs differently based on class/race:

On a class/race that can actually devote to Adendra (Elf, H-Elf, Dwarve, Pally/Cleric/Druid)

You say 'adendra'
The Sul'gali priest looks up you and down.
The Sul'gali priest wonders 'You fulfill the requirements of the Goddess, PLAYER. Why do you wait?'
The Sul'gali priest says 'Travel and find where the naos is sheltered, it is not far.'
You say 'naos'
The Sul'gali priest thinks, 'Hmmmm.'
The Sul'gali priest says 'We are not close enough for me to guide you there, PLAYER.'
(the naos is in Old Marsh - I can't find a way to get them there (charm, follow, flee-chase, etc)

If you are on the right class/race but of Evil align:

You say 'adendra'
The Sul'gali priest looks up you and down.
The Sul'gali priest says 'You have adjustments to be made in your Faith, PLAYER, before you may'
The Sul'gali priest says 'Speak of the Goddess to anyone.'

On a 'wrong' class/race (H-Orc Warrior in this case)

You say 'adendra'
The Sul'gali priest looks up you and down.

On a really 'wrong' class/race:

The Sul'gali priest says 'You do not meet our requirements, PLAYER. Seek out a God of lesser power.'
The Sul'gali priest says 'And speak not of the True Goddess with your foul mouth.'

Typical 'wearing eq' prog/echo:

The Sul'gali priest wears a translucent shell about his body.
The Sul'gali priest fits glistening black plate mail on his body.
The Sul'gali priest slips into black leather leggings.
The Sul'gali priest wears a string of blood-red pearls around his neck.

Shivvan - The Enlightened Ones

Help File: 'THE SINNERS' SINNERS 'THE ENLIGHTENED' 'THE ENLIGHTENED ONES'

Room Desc:

(Red Aura) Trouble walks swiftly by in the form of this notorious priest.

Long Desc:

The man is dressed in dark clothing and it appears as if he has gathered his
clothes during his travels for nothing matches. Some of his garments are a
few sizes too small for him, others are too large. A gleam in his eye makes
you wonder if he is completely sane or not, he doesn't react in a normal
fashion to things occurring around him.

An Enlightened One is in perfect health.

Progs: He picks up things in the room, and glares at undevoted chars:

An Enlightened One gets the corpse of a Scourge Marauder.
An Enlightened One glares icily at you, you feel cold to your bones.

He will steal gold from you.

Progs on Undevoted Chars: You must be Evil Align to receive any progs from him.

Priest of Summer says 'Come with us, PLAYER. Seek out the power of all light in our Naos.'

You say 'naos'

Priest of Summer says 'You will find it near the great divide, Player.'
Priest of Summer says 'You will have to find its location on your own power, Player.'
Priest of Summer bows before you.

(I believe this refers to the Azure Sea Naos (along the coast near Coral Depths), because the other one is just buried in Kontaur and I can't see any way that relates to 'a great divide'. For the one near Coral Depths, the 'great divide' then means the division between land and sea. So basically he's saying.... "near where the land meets the sea", a beach, and that location makes sense.)

Notes

The Sandman

At first I thought this might be a Deity Priest, but now I don't think so:

He seems to correspond to this room in Vast Horizons:

Sand Dune / - \
------------------------------------------------------- - ---(+)--- -
                                                           \ - /
It is difficult to look at the towering mound of pure white sand, as the sun
is reflected so strongly that your eyes find themselves automatically
squinting and wanting to close. The dune appears to be perfect, but only
because when small amounts of sand are removed from it, other particles slide
down to fill in the spot. A legend holds that this dune of the purest white
sand is where the Sandman gathers his cache from each evening at dusk. If you
manage to stay awake long enough, perhaps he'll make an appearance.
Exits: none

But I was too lazy to hang around and see if he showed up or something happens.

All the other Priests seem to be identified, so I don't really think there's an opening for him to be a Priest.
