- Rend is a physical attack skill. You must not be wearing weapons. It's damage is just based on Con and is capped by your max con (it does not scale beyond max con the same way damage reduction does).
- As such, barbs will fight bare-handed most of the time, which means you don't get the additional stats/affects of weapons, but which does mean that you don't have to worry about mobs who are immune to the magic/non-magic damage of weapons, or being disarmed.
- I don't know what type of damage rend does, like non-magic maybe, but it may no-type (similar to gash). I don't believe there are any RIS that impact rend.
